Rosie Bear Aunt LaLa’s Log Review & Giveaway (ENDED)
We are so busy as moms, especially as new moms! We also seem to forget things more easily when we aren’t sleeping as much as we used to once we have a baby in the house.
Rosie Bear is a company started by sisters Deena and Lisa to create a Aunt LaLa’s Log for new parents to keep track of feedings, diaper changes, sleep habits, medications and growth.
They have very cute designs like Rush Hour and Birds of a Feather shown below, but they carry a variety of designs. They have boy, girl and gender-neutral prints that are ALL adorable!
In addition to the Standard Log, which is 8.5″h x5.5″w, they also have a Twins Log, which is 9″w x 12″h. You can log your twins’ baby activities in the same book!
Aunt LaLa’s Log contains the following:
-90 pages of daily charts
-General information page for emergency contacts
-Ouchies pages for noting any medication administered
-Growth chart for recording how they grow
Aunt LaLa’s Standard Log retails for $29.95 and the Twin Log retails for $49.95.
I like the size and the quality of the materials in this journal. I think the idea is nice and if you are trying to keep track of how many dirty/wet diapers your baby is having, which is a good indication of whether they’re eating enough, it’s a pretty good idea. I will say that if I was charged with keeping track of every feeding, diaper change or nap when I was a new mom, I probably would have lost my mind. But that’s me. Some moms will certainly find some reassurance in know what’s what, but I am a believer in that every day is so different and if a new mom is nervous about these things, keeping track to this degree might just send her over the edge.
I am not a huge fan of the “bottle” icon being universal for feeding of baby because I’ve met many a child who has never held a bottle, but I guess it would be hard to put a line drawing of a breast or bottle/breast there, so what can I say? LOL
I’d say that YES, this is a great product if your goal is just to stay organized and have something to show the significant other about what your little one did during the day or to be sure that you’re off to a good start, but moms should remember that none of these things are an exact science and not all babies grow at the same rate (and that’s normal) and not all babies sleep the same as other babies OR the same as they did yesterday (and that’s normal).
Things Moms Like is giving away a Rosie Bear Aunt LaLa’s Standard Log in the “Rush Hour” theme ($29.95 value)
